Binnenhof

This ancient complex of buildings is the home of the Dutch government. The State Opening of Parliament takes place in the Ridderzaal on the third Tuesday of September every year. Since 1992, parliament has been housed in a new building. Designed by the Dutch architect Pi de Bruijn, it stands next to the old parliament building.
